Maths/ String Patterns (NOT FINISHED)
In July 2005 I visited a childrens' home a few kilometres south of Chennai, formerly Madras, in South India.
My colleagues and I planned a day of maths-based activities for the children who live there.
These articles are based on an activity that my group undertook, creating interesting mathematical patterns using a nail board and coloured wool. The articles deal with various different sorts of patterns and their accompanying mathematics. It is best if they are read in order.
You can see an example in the photo on the right, and in the articles below you will be able to use the Flash activites to make your own.
